BALTIMORE, MD – October 21, 2026 – PRESSADVANTAGE –
Pinder Plotkin Legal Team CEO to teach the legal ethics session of National Business Institute’s six-hour live online course covering commercial truck injury cases from investigation through trial.
Jason Plotkin, Esq., CEO and managing attorney of the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team, will join the faculty for National Business Institute’s Truck Accident Litigation From Start to Finish on Monday, Oct. 26, 2026. The live online continuing legal education program runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern and follows commercial motor vehicle injury cases from investigation through trial. Plotkin will teach the legal ethics session within a curriculum that also covers federal regulations, evidence, insurance coverage, damages and courtroom preparation.
NBI describes the course as a practical guide to catastrophic injury and fatality cases involving commercial motor vehicles, aimed at attorneys as well as insurance professionals and paralegals. Rather than treating regulations, investigation, damages and trial as separate practice areas, the agenda brings them together in a single day of instruction organized around the decisions attorneys face as a case develops.
The program opens with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and their application to liability. The investigation and discovery session then addresses evidence preservation, site investigation, FMCSA compliance records, driver logs and telematics data. Course materials include sample preservation letters, deposition questions and other practical resources.
A session on coverage and damages follows, covering identification of liable parties, insurance coverage analysis, medical records and bills, future medical expenses and lost earning capacity, pain and suffering, punitive damages for regulatory violations, and traumatic brain injury and wrongful death damages. It closes with negotiation tips and a sample demand letter. These are scheduled educational topics, not predictions about the value or outcome of any individual claim.
Plotkin’s legal ethics session is scheduled for 1:45 to 2:45 p.m. Eastern and addresses conflicts of interest, obligations to third parties, attorneys’ fees, and ethical issues in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases. Positioned between the damages session and the afternoon trial sessions, it places professional responsibilities within the full sequence of handling a trucking matter.
The afternoon continues with selecting, using and deposing expert witnesses, from accident reconstructionists to trucking safety and human factors specialists, followed by a session on trying a trucking case covering motions in limine, voir dire, exhibit presentation and closing arguments.
Jason Plotkin joins the program’s faculty to teach the legal ethics session. The appearance continues his CLE work with NBI dating to 2017, including programs on auto injury litigation, rideshare injury claims and dog bite injuries.
NBI lists the event as a six-hour live online course. Registration includes the live webinar, an on-demand recording available within seven days of the event, a downloadable course book and a certificate of completion. Most states approve the program for six credit hours, including one hour of ethics or professionalism; approval details vary by jurisdiction. Attorneys can consult NBI’s listing for product 102386 at nbi-sems.com for the current agenda, registration and state-specific credit information.
Jason Plotkin is a Maryland attorney, author and speaker, and CEO and managing attorney of the Pinder Plotkin Legal Team, which focuses on personal injury and workers’ compensation matters in Maryland. Information about his books, educational resources, speaking engagements and press inquiries is available on his personal website.
